Whisker of Evil by Rita Mae Brown

This is one of the many Mrs Murphy (a much loved cat) mysteries.  Mrs. M, her 2 pet partners and owner Mary Haristeen solve murder mysteries in rural Virginia horse country.  You can nearly breath the fresh mountain air in this book, but beware of the greed and corruption all around!

The is book 6 of the Isabel Dalhousie mystery novels.  Isabel is sweet, well intentioned and seems to be drawn into resolving situations.  A wonderful read into a gentle world with a mystery or two around the corner.  Start with the first book, “Sunday Philosophy Club.”

For those of us who remember the Smothers Brothers with fondness, this is a great insight on their career, the political times, media and new music for their time.  Nice stroll down the lane for mid-40′s and older!  They stood for way more than laughs.  They were pioneers.

A must read!  A wonderful followup to “Three Cups of Tea.”  It is good to know of someone who is so passionate about education for women.  Greg is a man we Americans can be very proud of.  He is so good at getting the people help.
