Capote in Kansas: A Ghost Story by Kim Powers

I read ” To Kill a Mockingbird” at the age of 10 and was captivated by the story, told thru the eyes of Scout.  The fact that Harper Lee and Truman Capote were childhood friends and later worked together on researching “In Cold Blood” intrigued me and prompted me to read this book.  The relationship played out between these 2 characters, and what is real/what is not, between them makes for engrossing reading.  Threading it’s way thru the story are also questions about childhood, identity, creativity, mortality, what we give and what we leave behind.  Excellent!
