Historical fiction covering the period of the Salem Witch Trials as told by a child.  The story is also the true story of the author’s relative.  An easy read and very moving, but sad tale  part of our nation’s history.

Prayers For Sale by Sandra Dallas

The story takes place in 1936, during the Great Depression in a Colorado mining town.  Full of female companionship and the help they give each other during harsh conditions.  Very enjoyable audiobook.

A beautiful yet disturbing story of a woman with great intelligence who comes down with  early onset of Alzheimer’s disease.  The story is told from her perspective.

In the Company of Cheerful Ladies by Alexander McCall-Smith

This is the  6th book in the “No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency” series.  I didn’t like the writing and found the Botsana words that are interspersed made it hard to enjoy.  Lacking in plot.
